These I type balun cores provide an alternative shape for high current choke applications which can tolerate some electro-magnetic radiation. The configuration of this balun core can be especially effective for high power speaker crossover coils. This soft magnetic core I- shape is Electro-Stat, Teflon coated for smoothe, and scratch resistant finish. Recommended for High Power BALUN construction.

Applications:

I core used as high flux core has similar to high flux core application for Line Noise filters where the inductor must support large AC voltages without saturation. In Line Noise filters; Switching Regulators Inductors to handle large amount of DC bias current; Pulse Transformers and Flyback Transformers.
